Foundation Class Teacher- Mrs Noble

Hi! I am Mrs Noble, the Early Years Leader.

I am the Nursery and Reception teacher and privileged to work alongside the Early Years team primarily Mrs McMahon, Miss Drake, and the other adults that support my class.

Your children’s interest is at the heart of our learning and runs through every part of our Early Years curriculum.

I am in my fourth year of teaching and new to Keelham Primary School in 2017. My specialism is Early Years and I have experienced a range of different settings throughout University and work experience.

Please read our newsletters and topic homework sheets and find out more about what we’re doing during the term.

Early Years Practitioner  – Mrs McMahon

Hello I am Jane McMahon. I am the Early Years Practitioner in the Foundation Unit. I have worked with primary aged children for over fifteen years and really enjoy working in the Early Years. When I am not working I enjoy baking and cooking and walking my Springer Spaniel Fudge.

Support Assistant- Miss Drake

Hello my name is Miss Drake. I work full time in the foundation stage unit as the Nursery Assistant. Our days are action packed of fun, learning, junk modelling, baking, role play and much much more. I enjoy watching the children grow in confidence and learning through play.

 The Foundation Unitimg_1733

We are a mixed class of Nursery and Reception in the Foundation Unit.

The children’s learning is led by the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance. The objectives in this document focus on what children need to learn and set out what most children are expected to achieve by the end of Reception.

It sets out the Early Learning Goals and the areas we need to develop in children.

Development Matters in the Early Years-  Click Here Click Here

The children learn through play and fun activities. This makes learning meaningful and irresistible! We do a lot of talking in Foundation and the adults are there to guide children’s learning, not dictate it. We have lots of fun and play inside and out.

Early Esssence Assessment

We use the Early Essence materials to observe and assess the childrens’ progress. All parents are able to access their child’s individual Learning Journey through the link below. We welcome parents to add to information with their own observations from home life.
