I am proud to say that I have been a governor at Keelham Primary School for about 10 years and Chair of the governing body for the past 2 years. My two older sons have been schooled at Keelham and my youngest son is now at the school.
I decided to become a governor because I am interested in the welfare and learning of all children and wanted to make a direct contribution in education. I have found the role to be both challenging and rewarding and have really enjoyed being involved in issues arising at the school where I have been able to apply my skills and experience.
In my spare time I enjoy exercising – running and gym. I am also a football coach at Queensbury Celtic JFC where my sons play. When the opportunity arises I also enjoy playing music in an 8-piece soul band.
As Chair of Governors I am happy to listen to the views of all parents so feel free to contact me through the school.
The governors of the school work closely with the school to support and challenge its work and development. Their involvement is invaluable to the success of the school. From time to time vacancies will occur for parent governors and you may wish to consider putting yourself forward. Please contact the school for more information.
